Political Donation Rules

All political donations to political parties must comply with NSW Electoral Commission (NEC) regulations.

We cannot accept donations from foreigners or “prohibited donors” which include property developers and people involved in the tobacco, liquor or gambling industries, and their associates.

Donors must be Australian residents or entities with an ABN.

A donor cannot donate more than $7000 to a NSW political party each financial year. Donations of $1000 or more will be disclosed to the NEC within 21 days and the donor must lodge a donor return in July 2023.
